FRANK ARNESEN is the man at the centre of the war that is threatening to rip Chelsea apart.

SunSport is claiming that the Dane has been working to attract Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard to Stamford Bridge.

And, with Avram Grant coming under increasing pressure, Arnesen would love to see Rijkaard, 45, take control of team affairs.

Arnesen, the Blues’ chief scout and youth development officer, has a close relationship with Rijkaard, whose days at Barca are numbered.

A Chelsea insider said: “There is a lot going on at the moment and it is getting like the Mourinho situation.

“Grant still has the support of his bosses but Arnesen’s relationship with Rijkaard is causing a lot of unrest.”
