Chelsea are understood to be keen on a summer move for Hamburg captain Rafael van der Vaart.
The Dutchman turned in a superb performance in the 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend, scoring Hamburg's goal and setting up numerous chances for his team-mates.
Chelsea scout Rainer Bonhof, a former Germany international, was in the crowd - and he admitted one player stood out.
He told the German press: "I can't say which player I came to watch but when you have a look at the match, you could imagine who was the most interesting.
Chelsea were linked with a move for Van der Vaart last summer, while Juventus are also interested.
But the midfielder insists he is staying focused on Hamburg for the rest of the season.
Van der Vaart said: "The interest of other clubs is at the moment secondary. I want to win a title with Hamburg."
