Chelsea boss Avram Grant has confirmed Petr Cech faces another week on the sidelines with his ankle injury.

Cech missed the midweek UEFA Champions League victory over Olympiakos after turning his ankle in training and he will also miss this weekend's FA Cup quarter-final at Barnsley.

It was feared Cech could be sidelined for up to a month with the problem, but Grant expects the keeper to be back in action in a week.

It means Cech looks set to miss next Wednesday's game with Derby, but could return for the clash with Sunderland on 15th March.

"He's getting better but it will take about one week more," said Grant.
